Over the years we have refined our process to meet the needs of our clients and determine the scope of the project before any contracts are signed. This unique approach helps to set expectations for the client as well as our employees. The end result is extremely satisfied customers that love working with us and refer us to their friends.

PHONE CONSULTATION
Once a customer reaches out to us about a potential project, we set up a 30 minute phone consultation with the homeowner. This call will go further in depth of our process and what to expect when working with 1st Choice Builders.

ON SITE VISIT
Chris will meet with the homeowner to see your home, talk with you about your wants and needs in the project, and gather design measurements.

INITIAL BUDGET
Chris reviews your project and provides an initial budget to you usually within a week of your meeting. Unless the scope of the project changes from the initial meeting, we have found that the initial budget comes within 10% ( +/-) of the final contract amount.

BUDGET REVIEW
We will set up a time to discuss the initial budget in more detail. We typically won’t request formal bids from our sub-contractors until you are ready to move forward with 1st Choice Builders as your general contractor.

AUTHORIZATION TO PROCEED
Once you have made the decision to move forward with us, we will send you an Authorization to Proceed and a request a design deposit. This allows us to get you into the next open spot on our schedule and being designing your project.

DESIGN STAGE
You will be assigned a designer to help you with your project. The designer will meet with you to better understand your wants and needs. From there, she will draw up plans and make adjustments with your input until you reach a design that you love.

CONTRACT SIGNED
Once the design is underway and the scope of the project is finalized, we will write up a contract for you. Once the contract is signed, we will firm up the schedule for when the work will begin.

PRODUCTION
Production is the actual work performed on your project. The time will greatly depend on the size and scope of the work.

COMPLETION
Once your project is complete, we are sure you will love it! We offer a 1 year warranty on our workmanship. In the unlikely event you encounter an issue, just give us a call! We will make it right!
